Licensing
Council provides a motor vehicle and drivers licensing service through the Department of Planning and Infrastructure. Licensing can be processed at Council's Administration Office on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm, except Wednesdays 9.00am to 4.30pm.
- Licence renewals and transfers for cars, motorcycles, mopeds, caravans, trailers, buses, trucks, road trains, tractors, mobile cranes, forklifts, earthmovers, mobile farm implements and other vehicles.
- Boat registrations and renewals.
- Firearm licence renewals.
- Farm Vehicle Concessions.
- Drivers licence testing for Hazard Perception Tests (HPT) and Computerised Theory Testing (CTT) are only available through the Quairading Telecentre (except Fridays). Bookings are essential for all Drivers Licence tests.
- Custom and Special Series Licence plates are available which give you the choice of style, wording and numbering for your car number plates.

- As of 1st July 2008 Practical Driving Assessments will be conducted by a visiting DPI Assessor who will meet Learner Drivers at the Shire Administration Centre. Bookings can be made at the Shire Office on (08) 9645 1001 (you will need to provide your Learner's Permit details).

Vehicle Examination Centres
The following centres are authorised to examine your vehicle, please remember though that if your vehicle is currently not licensed you will be required to obtain a temporary permit prior to driving your vehicle.
