Banksia Bulletin Deadline for SEPTEMBER is MONDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER  @ 5pm

EXHIBITION HALL ENTRY FORMS will be taken at the Telecentre on FRIDAY 5th SEPTEMBER from 10am.  PHOTOS can be brought into the Telecentre on Friday 5th and last photos will be accepted 4pm SATURDAY 6th September at Telecentre.
QFC:  Football training Friday 5th September for those who want to, plus will also be on SATURDAY 6th 3.30pm at Quairading Oval.
RECYCLING CENTRE:   Will be closed on Saturday 6th September, trailer will be available at the gate.
KEVILLS HOME & GARDEN:   Closed 6th September.  Ring 9645 1349 if you need to get anything before then to finish your show entries.
UNDERSTANDING GRAIN MARKETING 1 & 2:   UGM2, for growers that have completed UGM1, is being held on the 8th Sept, at the Quairading Town Hall.  Each course costs $440 for primary producers, with a 50% rebate available from Farm Training WA.  There are still places available on both days, please register by contacting Julian Breheny on 93683640or jbreheny@agric.wa.gov.au.

HOSPITAL AUXILIARY MEETING:   Friday September 5th at 3pm in Hospital Resource Room.
MISFITS MOTORCYCLE CLUB:   Next aromatic lung filling nature ride will be on Saturday 6th September, to York, where we have been promised a good breakfast at the new Motorcycle Café run by Simon and Heather, a place to muse with other biker’s.   York has a great friendly atmosphere.  From there to Beverley checking out Museum and any lost road warriors.  Then home.  Carpe Diem.
PRELIMINARY FOOTBALL CATERING: Only a few spots left on the catering roster, if you can spare 2 hours on Sunday Sept 7th to help please phone Robyn 96466208.
QFC CANTEEN ROSTER: PLEASE check the latest BB for your name for this weeks Preliminary Final. Everyone should be available, if you are not available please organise your own swap. Rosters will be displayed in the Footy changerooms and Quairading Agri window. Thanks for your help
BELLES NETBALL PRELIMINARY FINAL:   This SUNDAY September 7th at 11.30am at the Quairading courts.  Let’s have 3 teams in the grand final (the following week) so come along and support the girls LOUDLY in what will be a very tight match against Federals.  The more support the better.
Q.F.C:  “A” & “B” have both reached the Grand Finals to be played in York on 14th September.  Don’t forget to come and watch the Belles this Sunday and give them your support.  Sunday is also the footy Pre Finals in Qdg. (Keller/Tmn v Rlys in the Res. And Rlys v Feds in the “A’s”) and all Quairading players are instructed to report for duty at around 11am, there’s plenty to do!
QUAIRADING LADIES BOWLS:   Tuesday 9th September, committee meeting 12.30pm at club house.
QUAIRADING GOLF CLUB LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATIONS:   Wednesday afternoon/evening PRESENTATION of Trophies for the 18 hole championship, B Grade and 12 hole winners.  Please make a special effort to stay and celebrate.  Toasted sandwiches provided for supper and FINES MONEY will be used for ‘free drinks’.  All players and community members welcome.

BUSY BEE:   To set up Ex. Hall for the Show will be held on WEDNESDAY 10th September from 8am.  Many hands make light work so would love to see lots of people, morning tea provided.

QUAIRADING FARMERS CO-OPERATIVE - wishes to advise customers that the Co-op will be closing at 12 noon next Friday the 12th September for the Show.

WESTPAC BANK HOURS FOR SHOW DAY:   Hours for 12th September are open 9.30am close 12.30pm.  ATM available 24/7.
CWA MEETING:   Due to Quairading Ag. Show the CWA Branch meeting for 12th September will not be happening, next meeting will be on Friday October 10th at 1.30pm.
KINDERGARTEN  ENROLMENTS FOR 2009 -Enrolments are now open. You can apply to enrol your child:If he or she was born between 1st July 2004 and 30th June 2005. Please call into the front office of the School and collect an enrolment form.  Completed enrolment forms are to be returned back to the School by 12th September.
QUAIRADING MEN’S BOWLING CLUB:   Nominations are called for the position of selectors for the 2008/09 pennant season.  Applications in writing to Secretary Box 113 Quairading by 12th September 2008.
LAWN BOWLERS:   Umpires Tutorial in Tammin on 13th September 9.30am, morning tea and lunch $8.  Everyone welcome, if interested please let me know by 10th September.  Jan Maddaford 9645 1269.

QUAIRADING FARMERS CO-OPERATIVE - would like advise shareholders their Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 19th September at 3.30pm in the Ambulance Hall.
GOLF CLUB AGM -- Will be held at 4pm on Sunday the 21st of September following the golf competition starting at 11am. Nominations are called for all positions -- nomination forms can be obtained from the Golf Club office or from the Secretary.
ST JOHN AMBULANCE - SENIOR FIRST AID COURSE:   Names are now being taken for an upcoming senior first aid course to be held on Saturday 4th October.  This is a one day only course.  It will necessitate the participant doing pre-reading and workbook learning PRIOR to the day of course.  Early registration is essential to have work package to participants well beforehand.  Names & payment will be taken from now until Friday 19th September.  NO LATE NAMES WILL BE TAKEN as work packages are ordered according to exact numbers.  Payment of $50.00 will need to be received by 24th September.  Please call Phyliss Jones on 96416037 to register.
QUAIRADING HOSPITAL AUXILIARY:   Annual subs are now due and can be paid in the Co-op 15th – 20th September between 9.00am and 3.45pm on these days.
LAREEMA FASHIONS:   Will be visiting Quairading on Wednesday 17th September.  We will be in shop next to hairdresser in main street from 8.30am to 4pm.  We will be bringing a huge range of clothes including styles for the fuller figures, also a selection of our new spring range.  For enquiries phone 9571 1491.

FARMPOWER GOLF DAY:   Will be held at Quairading Golf Club on Thursday September 18th, 10.30am.  Light lunch available, novelties on all 18 holes.
QUAIRADING SENIORS:   Tammin seniors will be holding a fun day of games on 18th September in Tammin.  Please reply to Mary Harrison on 9637 1345 if you would like to go.  Check further details on noticeboard at Co-op.
OLD TIME DANCE 20TH SEPTEMBER 2008:   Will be held at the CORRIGIN TOWN HALL  NOT QUAIRADING as advertised in the latest Banksia Bulletin)  7pm until 11pm.  Admission 8.00pm and a plate of supper would be appreciated.
LADIES GOLF MEETING:   Will be held on Wednesday 24th September starting at 9.30am.  ALL golf ladies are asked to attend.  Agenda items to Maggie Hadlow.

QUAIRADING CLUB: AFL Grand Final Saturday Sept. 27. Come and cheer your team (or second team if you're an eagle or docker!) Sweeps and games, prizes for adults and kids, footy food available. Watch for flyers around town soon.
MEN'S BOWLING CLUB: Agri-Services present the annual “Masters and Apprentices” day Sunday Sept 28th from 10 a.m. All welcome, both mugs and guns. $5 to play, lunch supplied, and bar open (remember: the beer in our bar contains Vitamin P). VINTAGE CLUB OF QUAIRADING: Members please note that the Vauxhall Club are now coming to Quairading on Monday 29th Sept. @ 11am instead of Sat 27th Sept.

QUAIRADING BOOK CLUB:   There will be NO MEETING IN OCTOBER due to school holidays and many people away.  The next meeting will be on November 3rd 8.00pm at Heather’s.  Our Christmas get together will be held at the Gourmet Café in Kauring on Sunday December 7th for a luncheon starting at 12.30pm.  More news about travel arrangements and menu later.

P & C FOOTY TIPPING:  Congratulations to Rowlie, winner of Round 22 with 7 games and a margin of 27 points.
The final result for the 2008 Competition was 1st Harry Bowling with 128 points, 2nd Janet and Geoff Hall with 127 points and 3rd Tammy Gors with 126 points. Thank you to all the people who participated in this years tipping competition which was very successful.
