Sport and Recreation
Sport and recreation plays a large part in the lifestyle of many Quairading locals with much of our community spirit being felt in weekend sports and recreation clubs.
Most sports operate seasonally at various sporting facilities in and around town including football, netball, tennis, hockey, golf, cricket, badminton and bowls.
For more information on each sport and recreation club, see below and as always, keep an eye on the local weekly newsletter, The Passion Sheet and monthly newspaper produced by the Quairading CRC.

Doodenanning Sporting Club & Hall, Grey Street Doodenanning
The Hall is maintained by members of the Doodenanning Sporting Club and provides a community hub for residents of the north western Quairading Shire.
It is a meeting place for the Bush Fire Brigade, South Mortlock Catchment Group, family reunions, private parties, funeral services and wakes, caravanning clubs and Doodenanning Sporting Club.
Golf is played each Saturday afternoon during the winter with tennis available during the summer.
The Club uses its own funds along with grants to maintain and renovate the Hall - major works were carried out on a leach drain in 2017 and the kitchen was replaced in 2018. A concrete platform is proposed for the southern entrance to the Hall to improve safe entry and egress, providing enhancement to the exterior along with a safe outdoor dining area and tennis observation deck.
The Hall celebrated its centenary in September 2018 with a host of 150 plus people attending from all over the state.
New members are welcomed!

community gym
About Us
The Quairading Community Gym is a community initiative that, with support from local council and funding from Lotterywest, the Shire of Quairading, CBH and Emerald Grain, was opened in November 2015.
The Quairading Community Gym (owned by the Shire of Quairading) is a not for profit venture with a focus on fitness for all. Housed in a shared, indoor facility the gym is open at times that suit the needs of the Quairading community. The space is modern, spacious and air conditioned.
Making use of the Cultural Arts Centre adjoining the Quairading CRC at 1 Parker Street, we have found a temporary venue for a community gym with a view for a permanent separate facility into the future.
The Quairading Community Gym is managed by a Gym Committee and the Quairading CRC assist the committee in managing memberships and member queries during office hours.
