The Shire Administration and Works Depot will be closed this Friday, 1st of December 2023 due to staff shortages for the day.

The Community Christmas Party will be going ahead as planned on Friday afternoon - we hope to see you there!

Both the Administration and Works Depot open again on Monday morning.

We've had a slight change to our Community Gym Membership structure and pricing.

There will no longer be a 3 month membership option. Instead we have 1 month, 6 month and 12 month memberships available to purchase.

See the friendly staff at the @quairading_crc to purchase a membership. Anyone is welcome to come in and have a no-obligation look at the facility before you sign up.

If you are a Quairading Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service or St John Ambulance Quairading Sub Centre Volunteer, you will receive a 25% discount on Annual Memberships.

The Gym is open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week via a swipe access card. It is closed on Tuesdays between 9am and 3pm.

If you own a business or operate a non-for-profit incorporated group or club within the Quairading Shire, you may be eligible to fund a project or event you want to get off the ground.

We've made a few small changes to our grant programs, the main change being that we will now fund up to 50% of the total project cost. We will also now be running two rounds of grants per financial year:

COMMUNITY GRANTS (SMALL GRANTS):
Round 1 | $500-$2500 | Open now | Closes 30th November 2023
Round 2 | $500-$2500 | Open 1st March 2024 | Closes 30th April 2024

COMMUNITY GRANTS (MAJOR GRANTS):
$2500-$5000 | Open 1st March 2024 | Closes 30th April 2024

BUSINESS GRANTS:
Round 1 | Up to $5000 | Open now | Closes 30th November 2023
Round 2 | Up to $5000 | Open 1st March 2024 | Closes 30th April 2024

Vale Melissa Ogden | 9/2/1981 – 15/11/2023

Council’s flags are flying at half mast today in honour of our co-worker and friend, Melissa Ogden.

It is with great sadness we share the news of Melissa’s passing after a short but aggressive battle with cancer.

Melissa was a part of our staff since February 2022 in Administration and the Works Depot.

She will be terribly missed by us and leaves behind her husband Jason and children Caitlyn, Angus, Hamish, Destiny and Summer.

We will provide details of the funeral service as soon as they are available.
