Airstrip

The Quairading Airstrip is located 300 metres East of the townsite, on the York Merredin Road.

Council requests that the Council Office be contacted before use of the airstrip. Council does not allow 'touch and go's' on this airstrip, as many of our health facilities are located in line with the airstrip.

Contact the Council Office, between 8.30am to 5.00pm, on 08 9645 2400 for all information and requests to use the Airstrip.

Arthur Kelly Village

Quairading offers 8 self-contained units within the over 55's Arthur Kelly Village, situated toward the Eastern end of Town on Jennaberring Road. These units are occupied by Retirees who wish to live in smaller sized homes.

The units include kitchen, lounge/dining room, 1 bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The units also include reverse cycle air conditioning.

All enquires about these units should be made through the Shire Office on 08 9645 2400 between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm week days.

Caravan Park & Cabins

The Caravan Park has modern clean facilities with sites for vans, 5th wheelers and tents and 3 Cabins and 4 Single Person Rooms available for hire.

Cemeteries

The Quairading Cemetery is located 500 metres East of the Quairading Townsite on the York to Merredin Main Road.

The Doodenanning Cemetery is located off Geyer Street, Doodenanning (access off the Mawson Doodenanning Road).

The Management of the Cemetery has been transferred from the now dissolved Doodenanning Cemetery Board to the Shire of Quairading on the 9th May 2014.

The South Caroling Cemetery is located on Dangin Mears Road.

The Management of the Cemetery has been transferred from the now dissolved South Caroling Cemetery Board to the Shire of Quairading on the 23rd October 2015.

Community Building

The Community Building is located within the Greater Sports Ground Precinct, and abuts the Town Oval. The Facility is an ideal place to hold sporting functions, meetings and private gatherings. The Community Building contains reverse cycle air conditioning bar area, servery, large kitchen, toilets, changerooms tables and chairs. The building has a large carpeted area and a tiled area in front of bar and servery.

The Building is fitted with a modern Sound System for both Inside and Outside Use. Conditions and Fees apply to its use.

Community Bus

The Quairading Community Bus is available for hire through the Shire Council. The maximum capacity for the Community Bus is 24 Adults plus the Driver or 32 Children (Year 5 / 10 year olds = 3 per double seat) plus the Driver. Bookings can be made by contacting the Shire Office on (08) 9645 2400.

Community Gym

The Quairading Community Gym is a community initiative that, with support from local council and funding from Lotterywest, the Shire of Quairading, CBH and Emerald Grain, was opened in November 2015.

The Quairading Community Gym (owned by the Shire of Quairading) is a not for profit venture with a focus on fitness for all. Housed in a shared, indoor facility the gym is open at times that suit the needs of the Quairading community.

Making use of the Cultural Arts Centre adjoining the Quairading CRC, we have found a temporary venue for a community gym with a view for a permanent, separate facility into the future. 

The Quairading Community Gym is managed by a Gym Committee and the Quairading CRC assist the committee in managing memberships and member queries during their office hours of 9.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Community Resource & Cultural Arts Centre

The Quairading Community Resource Centre and Cultural Arts Centre (QCRCAC) was Officially Opened on Friday 21ST October 2011.

The Quairading Community Resource Centre is based in the QCRCAC and manages all bookings for the Centre.

Greater Sports Ground

The Quairading Greater Sports Ground is situated on McLennan Street. This complex includes 3.5 hectares of Playing Fields plus Netball Courts, Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts and Bowling Club.

The Greater Sports Ground's Oval is able to cater for sporting fixtures such as Football, Hockey, Cricket and other miscellaneous events.

Swimming Pool

The Quairading Memorial Swimming Pool is located on McLennan Street, just past the Greater Sportsground and Bowling Club. The pool season generally commences on the 1st of November and ends on the last weekend in March.

Town Hall

The Shire Hall is located next to the Shire Office, on Jennaberring Road. The Hall contains 3 areas; Main Hall; Lesser Hall and Foyer. The building is fitted with large hall area (with two badminton courts) and smaller lesser hall, stage and changerooms, large kitchen, servery, toilets and ticket box. This large Hall with reverse cycle air conditioning is ideal for large events, conferences, formal dinners or occasions and stage productions. Tables and chairs are also available within the hall. Modern Audio Visual Equipment is available. Conditions of Hire and Fees apply.

The Shire Hall is able to hold up to approximately 420 people.
